$100,000 buys a year’s supply of Action for Family Health essential medicines for infants and children for the treatment of diarrheal diseases, respiratory infection, measles and malaria.

$50,000 supports the training of community health workers in the World Health Organization’s Key Family Health practices.

$25,000 supports one CMMB Born to Live program, including counseling, testing, treatment of mother and child, and follow-up care.

$10,000 underwrites an Action for Family Health child health and disease prevention communications strategy in a Latin American country, including radio broadcasts, posters and pamphlets.

$7,000 lets CMMB send and support one full-time medical volunteer to the developing world for one year.

$5,000 pays the cost to ship a 40-foot container filled with essential medicines to Latin America.

Foundations

Socially responsible foundations that work with CMMB discover not only an organization that can distribute vitally needed medicines efficiently, but a global healthcare partner committed to building sustainable capacity in the health infrastructure of the regions we serve. CMMB programs are carefully designed and administered to ensure that the good we do will last long after we ourselves are gone.

Today, CMMB is training nurses and doctors in China in HIV and AIDS treatment, so that these healthcare professionals can then return to their local areas to train their colleagues in the same practices. CMMB public health professionals in Honduras team with the Catholic Church in that country to leverage the Catholic university system as a base for a national healthcare network. Our medical shipments include not just medicines, but the laboratory and testing equipment needed by local hospitals and clinics to enhance the quality of the care by theses institutions. 

These are just a few of the many examples where CMMB does more than deliver charitable care… we provide the training, tools and the technologies that enable our in-country partners to continuously improve the quality of their own healthcare systems and processes.
