CMMB is active
across central and southern Africa, with a special
focus on helping those affected by the HIV epidemic.
CMMB’s AIDSRelief effort delivers antiretroviral therapies to people
infected with HIV or suffering from AIDS. Our
Born to Live initiative runs or supports clinics
that provide voluntary counseling and testing
for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission
of the HIV virus. Each year, CMMB makes many shipments of medicines
and medical supplies to local partners via Healing
Help. The CMMB Medical
Volunteer Program (MVP) places healthcare professionals in localities
for voluntary service for periods from a few
months to several years.
Programs run by or supported
by CMMB are active in the following African countries:
- Botswana
- Kenya
- Lesotho
- Namibia
