CMMB is active
across central and southern Africa, with a special
focus on helping those affected by the HIV epidemic.
CMMB’s AIDSRelief effort delivers antiretroviral therapies to people
infected with HIV or suffering from AIDS. Our
Born to Live initiative runs or supports clinics
that provide voluntary counseling and testing
for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission
of the HIV virus. Each year, CMMB makes many shipments of medicines
and medical supplies to local partners via Healing
Help. The CMMB Medical
Volunteer Program (MVP) places healthcare professionals in localities
for voluntary service for periods from a few
months to several years.

that provides services and deliver aid without regard to creed, race,
sex, or national or political circumstance. Catholic Medical Mission
Board is a non-governmental organization in consultative status with
the Economic and Social Council (ESOSOC) of the United Nations. Gifts are deducibel to the full extent allowable under IRS regulations.
