February 6, 2015 – In West Africa, CMMB continues to support the international community and the Ministries of Health of affected countries in their coordinated efforts to respond to the Ebola emergency. CMMB is working closely with partners to deliver humanitarian assistance in areas where it has staff on the ground, strong relationships with Ministries of Health, and the ability to leverage its expertise in delivering healthcare services and donations of medicines and medical supplies that are critical to the relief efforts.

Recently, CMMB shipped 7,380 units of donated rehydration solution to help healthcare providers, international aid agencies, and Ministries of Health provide vital care to Ebola patients in Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. CMMB is also helping to direct skilled volunteers to USAID and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to support their coordination of the international emergency response.

CMMB will continue to work with its partners, donors, consignees, and volunteers to strengthen health systems and medical-supply chains, and to support the delivery of rapid, quality care to vulnerable populations threatened by Ebola.
